Day-1 | NEW DELHI TO GUWAHATI TO TEZPUR ( 2 HOUR FLIGHT & 4 HOUR DRIVE )

Upon arrival at the Guwahati airport, you will proceed to Tezpur, a city in Assam popular for its extensive slope tea gardens and wide stretch of forests. Post check-in to your Tezpur hotel, you can relax and freshen up. In the evening, you will visit the mesmerizing Agnigarh hill, a famous mythological site built by King Banasura to prevent his daughter from meeting Aniruddha. Enjoy the scenic beauty of the Tezpur city and the flowing white Brahmaputra River, from the top of the Agnigarh hill.

Day-2 | TEZPUR TO ZIRO ( 7 HOUR 40 MIN DRIVE )

After an early breakfast at 8 am, you will begin your journey to Ziro, home to the friendly Apatani tribe and place popular for its vast Rice Fields and evergreen Pine Hills. After reaching Ziro, you will be escorted to your hotel. Spend a relaxed evening amidst nature and its bounties. Enjoy the authentic Assamese delicacies and music.

Day-3 | ZIRO SIGHTSEEING

After breakfast, you shall visit the Apatani Tribal villages. Spend the day, learning about their lifestyle, history and culture. Discover the story behind the face tattoos of the Apatani tribal women and listen to their unique and interesting tribal folklores. Also a walk through the Bamboo grooves is one of the most fascinating experiences while in Ziro. Ziro Valley has been shortlisted as a UNESCO World Heritage Site because of its picturesque beauty and popularity among tourists.

Later in the evening, you will visit the Siddheshwar Nath Temple which abodes the largest Shiva Linga in the world.

Day-4 | ZIRO SIGHTSEEING

After breakfast, you will visit the famous Talley Valley Wildlife Sanctuary, also known as a biodiversity zone. The Sanctuary houses a large number of endangered species. If lucky enough, you can even spot the Clouded leopard. Further, you shall visit the District Museum of Ziro, consisting of the cultural artifacts and life and times of the tribes of Arunachal Pradesh. If time permits, you can even visit the Popular Meghna Cave Temple, filled with captivating landscapes and serenity. You can do some shopping from the local markets (Hapoli Market) of Ziro. (If you’re visiting in September, you can experience the 4 day Ziro Music Festival, one of the major attractions of Arunachal Pradesh)

Day-5 | ZIRO TO MAJULI ( 7 HOUR DRIVE )              

After an early breakfast, you shall proceed to the River Island, Majuli situated on the Brahmaputra River. It’s endowed with picturesque landscapes, ethnic diversity and culture. Spend a relaxed evening in the hotel.

Day-6 | MAJULI SIGHTSEEING & MAJULITO JORHAT ( 45 MIN FERRY RIDE & 45 MIN DRIVE )

After breakfast, you will visit Anuati Sattras (monasteries) & Uttar – Kamalabari sattras (monasteries). Interact with the monks and visit monk’s quarter. You shall also

visit Mishing tribal village, a major inhabitant of the island, followed by the last visit on the Island which would be the mask making village. Later board your ferry to Nemati ghat and then proceed to Jorhat for overnight stay.

Day-7 | JORHAT TO KOLKATA TO DELHI ( 5 HOUR FLIGHT )

After breakfast, you will be escorted to Jorhat airport for your connecting flight to Delhi, via Kolkata.
