Rajasthan is a north – western Indian state bordering Pakistan. It is one of India’s largest states and is surrounded by five adjoining states. The northwestern part of Rajasthan is covered mostly by the Thar desert , while the southwest peak is adorned by the Aravalli range. A large portion of the land in Rajasthan is covered under the desert. Rajasthan is also famous for its national parks and wildlife sanctuaries including the famous Ranthambore National Park, Bharatpur bird sanctuary and the Sariska Tiger reserve.
