Andaman and Nicobar islands, one of the seven union territories of India, is a group of islands at the juncture of Bay of Bengal and Arabian Sea. The group of islands is a neighbour to Indonesia, Thailand and Myanmar. It comprises of the two island groups, the Andaman Islands and the Nicobar Islands. The Andaman Islands are home to the only known Paleolithic people, the Sentinelese people, who have no contact with any other people. The islands are covered in a bounty of flora and fauna. The island is connected by the Vir Savarkar Airport in Port Blair, the capital of the Andamanese island. It is also well connected through sea route at Haddo Wharf Port in Port Blair; ship services are available from Chennai, Kolkata, and Vizag.

However, it is not just the beauty of the archipelago of 572 islands that makes Andaman & Nicobar Islands an ideal getaway. There are adventure sports, water activities, activities for the nature lovers, and sightseeing tours of Andaman that one can opt for. Water activities like snorkelling and scuba diving at North Bay Island and Elephant Beach in Havelock Island are the most loved among tourists. Amidst the serene and the uncorrupted beauty of the nature, one can also witness tiny stars and galaxies floating under your feet during the night time near the sea side. It looks almost like a miracle by nature which happens due to the presence of phytoplankton in the sea, known as bioluminescence. Some of the most visited Islands are Havelock island, known for its tranquil atmosphere, Ross and Smith island and Neil Island. Other known places are the cellular jail national Memorial, known as Kaala Paani, and a group of mud volcanoes and active volcanoes. The place also attracts trekkers who can spend days discovering the large stretch of indigenous flora. The place is a heaven for non-vegetarians, particularly the sea-food with a wide array of fish curries available.
